Is logic something fixed, or could an all-powerful being actually change it?
Is logic itself fixed, or could an all-powerful being actually change it? Imagine a universe where god decided that 1 + 1 = 3, in that reality, the statement could be mathematically proven and would be perfectly logical, just as 1 + 1 = 2 is here. It’s kind of like Plato’s question: Is something good because god commands it, or does god command it because it’s good? But in this context applied to logic, is something logical because god made it so, or does even god operate within logic that exists beyond him? And if he’s bound by it, can he truly be called omnipotent?
