First period on Kyleena- IUD advice?

Like the title says; my first period with my iud is coming up, I got it inserted during my last cycle. But this is the first one I’ve got with it being in and I just want some advice or recommendations if anyone has any. The bleeding before (about 3 days before when I’m writing this) is heavier than it has been with the healing and spotting. Any recommendations for keeping cramps at a minimum? I have period panties, pads, liners. Can I try tampons yet or should I wait a little longer? And how long should I estimate the period to be because my average is 5-7 days.
