I put myself first after buying a BMW and stopped entertaining friends. Am I overreacting?

Since getting my BMW, I’ve realized I want to enjoy my time and my new car without feeling obligated to always host or hang out with friends. They’ve started saying I’ve changed and that I’m being selfish, but I feel like it’s normal to prioritize myself sometimes. Am I overreacting for setting this boundary?
