Tie in utility sink supply lines to washer box using T splitter?

Hello, We are adding a sink to our utility room where the washer is. The washer will empty in the sink so there is no issue with the drain.

Can we use 2 way splitters to the supply valves out of the washer box to feed both the washer and sink? I don't think we'd ever use the sink faucet when the washer was filling, so we'd watch out for that.

Seems like a simple solution, but are there any risks we should consider?
