Help! What is the best phone for me?

Hey y'all, looking for advice/suggestions on the best phone for me. I'm looking for a medium dumb phone, with modern app capabilities - google calendar, tidal, google maps mainly.

I have been an iPhone user for the last 10 years and recently I switched to a CATs22.

Things I'm struggling with / main considerations

• texting is just so hard, and it is the main way I communicate with my friends. I've downloaded a t9 app but haven't had a moment to set up the key mapper so I can toggle between the gboard and the t9 easier. but either way, im finding it difficult.

• I also REALLY miss being able to text from my laptop - and I can't figure out how to sideload the full version of google messages to the CAT

• I miss the easy accessibility to certain apps right from my lock screen/swipe down on iphone (specifically camera, calendar, and alarm clock). I hate having to unlock the phone and find the app.

• the google maps gps sucks ass and can never accurately detect my current location

• I am a big steps tracker, and previously used my iphone to do this. ideally my phone could do it as I don't want to spend more money on a fitbit or similar.

• There is roughly 1 month of the year where it's super important that I can email/gchat/etc with ease and quickly with no lagging - I already know the CAT will be an issue then and I don't want to switch to my iphone just for that time

• the camera... I'm realizing that what I use my iPhone camera the most for is taking pictures and videos mostly to just post on Instagram, however I would love to be on instagram much less, maybe even at all so maybe not having a good camera would help that?

• I am definitely struggling with phone/internet addiction.. like even though I have switched to the CAT, I still go scroll multiple sites on my laptop.

So, I'm trying to figure out what I should do here... do I go back to my iphone but dumb it down in a major way and install freedom or some other app blocker to keep me from getting Instagram?

Is my real problem just my instagram addiction and I need to work on that instead of getting a new phone?

Should I switch to the Jelly Star phone since it solves some of my issues with the CAT? But I worry it will be tempting to get instagram just like it is with my iphone?

Do I stick it out with the CAT, have some more patience/customize it more for my needs?

Feeling overwhelmed by all of the options, and the desire to simplify my life and free myself from the evils of big tech social media!!!
