Rockbox doesn’t populate on device

I know I’ve made a few posts kind of asking around the same thing but I’m still having issues with rockbox. So on my y1, I have the 2.1.9 currently loaded and I can live with just using y1 stock stuff. But I really want to try and get rockbox to work for themes and playlists and so on. I’ve tried using the rockbox rom 240/360, and the just 360 option multiple times. And each time, nothing rockbox related shows up in the actual device. The screen will load up rockbox, but when actually looking at the file explorer, there’s no .rockbox, absolutely nothing rockbox related whatsoever. I’ve tried searching all over, I’ve searched here, and I just cannot figure out why this isn’t working for me. Any help would be really appreciated, if I need to try an older version of the software, I can, I just haven’t yet because everything I’ve found says to use the most recent.
