Being borderline and being in a relationship with someone who has an addiction, is it going to ruin my life?

Relationship Advice

Well, I've never had a relationship before and neither has this person, I've had some sexual experiences and this man I'm getting involved with in question has never had any type of relationship with any other girl, he's always been extremely alone his whole life, and I've never been able to see myself alone, I have the notion that he needs time alone sometimes, but that makes me very paranoid, he's not exactly addicted, he uses some things and that makes me very worried, my father passed away due to drug use and me seeing someone I love in this The situation makes me feel extremely bad, I already feel bad just not being able to help, I tell him I'm going to give him the time he needs, but I can't stand going more than two hours without talking to him, because he asked me what's going on, if he's okay, if I'm putting too much pressure on him, and this thing about him needing to be alone doesn't enter my head, because at all times I feel like he's sick of me, or things like that, and I find it even harder that he has to keep calming me down all the time, and even if he says so that the problem isn't me, just the fact that he talks to me less, doesn't call me by nicknames, or doesn't treat me the way he's always treated me makes me very paranoid, and I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, if I think that he wants to be alone for himself, because he's never felt that affection, not even from his parents, and then I think about it and think that maybe that's why, but I still can't understand it, if he's felt like that all his life he should feel better now that I'm with him, because That's how I would think, but I also can't keep suffocating him any more... What is your opinion?
