Daura Gold (DGC.v) Strengthens Technical Team with Appointment of Stuart Mills as VP Exploration to Advance Antonella and Bonita Projects in Peru
Daura Gold Corp. (ticker: DGC.v) recently appointed Stuart Mills, M.Sc., as Vice President of Exploration, bolstering its leadership with more than 30 years of international experience spanning discovery through feasibility. The appointment supports Daura’s ongoing exploration and target definition at its Antonella Silver-Gold Project in Peru’s Ancash Department.
Advancing the Antonella and Bonita Targets
The Antonella Silver-Gold Project covers 900 ha in Peru’s Ancash Department, adjacent to Highlander Silver’s high-grade La Bonita target in the San Luis district. Historical exploration by Minera Silex Peru SRL included roughly 2,461 m of drilling and extensive surface sampling, which returned values up to 155 g/t Au and 714 g/t Ag, with many samples exceeding 0.1 g/t Au and 10 g/t Ag.
Daura’s August field campaign delivered additional standout surface results such as 22.6 g/t Au & 101 g/t Ag, 17.65 g/t Au & 348 g/t Ag, and 5.50 g/t Au & 620 g/t Ag. More recent sampling southwest of Antonella revealed a newly exposed mineralized vein trending toward Highlander Silver’s Bonita Project, returning grades including 379 g/t Ag & 0.38 g/t Au and 346 g/t Ag & 0.46 g/t Au. These results reinforce the company’s interpretation of a continuous mineralized system between Antonella and Bonita.

Expanding Expertise and Strategic Direction
DGC's new Vice President of Exploration, Stuart Mills has held senior roles at major companies including Anglo American, Lundin Mining, and Red Back Mining—later acquired by Kinross Gold—and has contributed to multiple multi-million-ounce discoveries across Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and Europe.
His background includes early-stage exploration, M&A evaluations, and country-level program management, with contributions to projects that became cornerstone assets for producers such as Perseus Mining and Montage Gold.
President Mark Sumner noted that Mills’ “discovery record and depth of technical expertise will be invaluable as we continue advancing exploration at our Antonella and Bonita Projects in southern Peru and evaluate new growth opportunities across the region.”
