iTaste MVP and Protank combo performance issues.
Hi all, I have been using an MVP/Protank combo for a few months now, but it's become very unreliable. After inserting a fresh coil into the Protank and connecting it up, it works for a short while, but then starts losing it's mojo. First the vapour production drops off, then it stops firing altogether.
At this point I usually remove the Protank, pull up the contact on the MVP with a small screwdriver, and rotate the contact on the bottom of the coil anticlockwise with a screwdriver (whilst still attached to the tank) until it slightly protrudes past the edge of the thread. Happy vaping for another wee while and then back to crappy vaping.
What gives? I'm sure it's the Protank side of things, since I've tried other clearomizers on the MVP with no issues, and the Protank seems just as shonky on my little iTaste vv.

I use a ProTank with my MVP for certain juices and it works great. When is the last time you cleaned the connector on your MVP (i.e. cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol)? You say it's working for a short while; Are you using a juice that's clogging your wick? Pulling out one of your flavor wicks might work wonders for you.
ALSO: Where are you buying your coils?
I've done all the cleaning and maintenance jobs but still no joy. I get the wicks from a dealer here in the UK.
Hmm. Well, assuming your MVP is still working properly, you should try removing one of your flavor wicks. I would suggest doing this only if you have a backup coil. If your issue stems from juice clogging your wick, this should make a big difference (I do this for all my ProTank coils).
I often do this myself but the problem is that the Protank coils aren't firing at all a lot of the time.
you mentioned you buy your coils in town. this makes me think you might be getting shitty coils. do they come sealed in those plastic and foil bubble packages?
the other possibility i can come up with is that the coil is unthreading in the protank. make sure its tightened down fully in the bottom cap. i've had this happen a few times myself so i check it every time i refill the tank.
