50k User Announcement

Good evening, everyone!

I know it’s been awhile since you heard from the Mod team like this. An update is long overdue. I and Defaultgamer wish to make this announcement now.

First off, we have hit 50k users on this sub! A huge achievement, compared to what Defaultgamer ever thought we would get to. He, and I as well, wish to give thanks to everyone who has joined us. We are very happy that all of you are creating unique stories, memes, and even your own Minis of the Primarchs, especially by putting them on the side of their tanks!

I also personally want to commend you all for your love for this AU and for your interest.

Now, down to business of making the actually major subreddit announcements.

1. Karma and Account Age limits. We intend to start limiting the folks who can post on the sub. The basic limits posters will need to meet are fairly low, Account is over 1 month old, and with 250 of any sort of karma, be it commenting or posting or both.

2. Banning AI image gen posts. When we started the sub we did allow AI Image generated posts. This is something that as a mod team we want to walk back. These tools, while interesting, and revolutionary in many ways, are harmful. We are concerned about their environmental impact, but we also have strong worries about theft of IP from artists who are doing everything they can to make ends meet. We want to be a place where artists and other creators are supported.

3. We are also testing out our auto modding tools and bots. We’ll be adjusting them as we use them.

4. The archiving project of the Fabricator General shall be resumed. The work will be slow and tedious, but the Fabricator General will do her best to ensure that both communities in Discord and the Subreddit will benefit from this.

5. With approval from other mods, I, the Fabricator General, will be limiting NSFW content to Sundays. If you wish to freely post NSFW content without this limitation, please go to r/PrimarchGFsNSFW instead.

6. I, the Fabricator general, with approval also from other mods, will be asking people to please put more effort and substance into their posts. I ask this because we think there has been several low-quality posts that are not contributing well to the subreddit. When you post, please put more then just a 4-word title with tits only, for example. I won't make this a hard rule, but I do encourage people to at least make their posts have more than just a picture without captions or a text post of only a few words. This is also to discourage spam and low quality posts.

That will be all for tonight, and we thank everyone for making us go over 52.9k members!
