Buy Sonim XP3 Plus 5G without service?

Has anyone successfully purchased a Sonim XP3 Plus 5G without service? It currently seems to only be available through T-Mobile, AT&T, and Bell, and I tend to just purchase my phones outright and swap SIMs around. I have T-Mobile but it makes me itch to buy the phone at full price from them and have to pay a "Connection Fee". I don't want to "connect it", I just want to buy it!
