LLETZ Results for Unclassifiable CIN - NHS - 8 Week Wait

Hi all!

Thought I’d give an update as I’ve asked a few questions here and searched this sub up and down for the past few months.

I was diagnosed with Unclassifiable CIN with high grade features post colposcopy biopsy. Untold amounts of stress ensued. After my LLETZ I heard NOTHING until today. 8 weeks of pure stress, and with the uncertainty of the CIN grade going into the LLETZ, I felt even worse.

Timeline:

• March 2025 - Pap Done

• May 2025 - Pap Results HR HPV+ not 16/18 with Borderline Cell Changes

• June 22nd 2025 - Colposcopy with 1 Biopsy

• July 25th 2025 - Biopsy Results: UNCLASSIFIABLE CIN. Immunohistochemistry p16 with Diffuse Block Staining. LLETZ Recommended

• September 1st 2025 - LLETZ Procedure

• October 28th 2025 - LLETZ Results Received.

My LLETZ results are as follows:

————————-

NATURE OF BIOPSY: LLETZ LLETZ OR CONE: Single 12 x 12 x 6mm strip (A1-A2) and separate 6 x 4 x 2mm fragment in A3. SITE OF BIOPSY: Transformation zone SIZE OF BIOPSY: Adequate ORIENTATION OF SPECIMEN: fair INFLAMMATORY CHANGE: + METAPLASIA: + KOILOCYTOSIS: + CIN: I CGIN: Absent SMILE: Absent CARCINOMA: Nil MARGINS: not involved

FURTHER COMMENTS

Multiple tissue levels have been examined on all tissue blocks. CIN I is identified but there is no evidence of high grade CIN. p16 shows non-block staining.

Thank the powers that be. I’m delighted.

Sending you all SO much love!
