Seeking advice on moving frogs from hot tub
Greetings all,
I live in southeast michigan where we are currently experiencing highs in the upper 50s (F) and lows near freezing. We have a hot tub in our back yard and a pair of tree frogs have taken up residence under the cover. I have moved them away when I've opened the cover to use the tub, but they keep coming back. I am concerned that having access to a warm location will mess up their natural seasonal cycle and harm them. We are thinking about catching them and taking them to a pond/wooded area two streets away. Is this a good or bad idea? Are there any inherent problems with this plan we should be aware of, or any better plans?
Thank you for your time.
