Inspire 3 - no notifications at all

As of about 5 days ago I get no notifications from my Inspire 3 which I got at the beginning of September. Went through ever t-shooting step ever up to removing the app and all saved data, and Factory Resetting the Inspire, still no luck. Google Support claims

this is currently a known issue on our end due to a bug affecting Inspire 3 to receive notifications.

No ETA on a fix; wildly frustrating since I just bought this after 5 years with the OG Pixel watch that broke.
