1. The Boys - Billy Butcher's abusive father Sam, whose violent parenting outright contributed to Billy's brother killing himself, is utterly unashamed of his actions when his son confronts him about it. He shows absolutely no remorse, calls Lenny "weak" and grins when Billy becomes enraged by this remark, seeing it as proof that Butcher became a man solely because of the abuse he endured.

2. The Bear - Chef David Fields psychologically tormented Carmy when Carmy was working under him. Years later, when Carmy confronts him over the abuse, Fields almost dismissively tells him, "You're welcome", pretty much claiming credit for motivating Carmy to become the chef he is today. 

3. Critical Role: The Mighty Nein - Trent Ikithon was Caleb's mentor in the Cerberus Assembly, and his cruelties included torturous experiments, psychological manipulation and tricking Caleb with false memories of his parents plotting treason to coerce Caleb into *burning his parents alive*. Under the thin guise of a "reunion" dinner years later, he calmly yet smugly claims that he "broke [Caleb] down" so he could build back up "stronger than before", tells Caleb he's proud of everything Caleb has gone on to accomplish and even has the audacity to claim everything he did was out of LOVE, a claim which disgusts and enrages the Mighty Nein.

An abusive parent, guardian or mentor straight-up says to their victim, "You should thank me; what I did made you strong."
