Failed to extrude filament error - AMS connected to X1C

AMS is showing a 'failed to extrude' error.

The filament loads all the way to the extruder, then makes an idling sound, then retracts. It does this over and over again. Please take a look at the video for reference.

When I connect to a different AMS, it works fine. I have replaced all feed funnels. I have replaced all PTFE tubes and checked for obstructions. I have cleaned out the extruder assembly and changed the hot end. I replaced the gear inside the AMS that connects to the primary motor, but I haven't replaced the motor.

Printer has roughly 4.5k hours on it.

Any ideas?
