I spent two years in direct sales, and here are the lessons I learned through time and experience:

Startup capital is crucial. Don't expect to leverage the market with "coffee money"—set aside at least $1,000 to plan your business with confidence.

When dealing with suppliers, don't let on that you're a novice. Maintaining a professional demeanor will help you secure more favorable terms.

All knowledge can be learned for free. Don't rush into expensive courses—the internet is your free business school.

Connections are invisible assets. Actively make new friends; opportunities often come from weak ties.

Invest at least four hours a day, or don't start lightly—time and focus are your true cost.

Tough battles require mentors and partners. Find experienced people to connect with (though it's not easy, it's definitely worth it).

Failure is part of testing; even experts will make mistakes. Be mentally prepared to maintain a steady pace.

Be wary of scams and data risks. I've received numerous phishing emails masquerading as Shopify—and you might too. Protect your information; these pitfalls are everywhere.

On this journey, clarity is the most important skill. Let's encourage each other, everyone.
