I watched Maintenance Required - a cheesy remake of You've got mail and I wish I could undo it!!
Did anyone watch Maintenance Required? I do not even understand why it was necessary to make that movie. I mean, You've got mail is good to go for another 40 years! They did not make any reference to the 1998 classic, when some scenes are copied just scene to scene. Still, how bad they can be that they can fail, even copying a classic romcom. You've got mail is also a remake of the 1940's Shop around the corner, yes the name of Meg Ryan's bookstore. I have watched both and we can see how soul is the same but characters are so different and adapted to time, as in the dilemma of the female lead when the male lead was about to tell the truth. I don't have answers for is chatting cheating, but how Joe Fox conveys his feelings for Kathleen "only if" they had a chance. And here we have nothing, but hollow characters, only sexy bodies and not cute and cheerful characters.
If you have not watched it, just save you time, it doesn't worth a watch.
