44 M4A - Here we go again

Alright, made a post, thought I had found someone, but I’m back here so…let’s try again.

So first off - I’m a real person. Yup, a 44/m living on the west coast of the US. After being totally conditioned by AOL and subsequently AIM and then now the little red circle of a text or email, I find myself craving the dopamine hit of seeing those stupid message notifications. I LIKE chatting. I have always been into instant messaging and now here we are.

Little about me - I find myself living the “millennial” dream of being retired at 44, and now doing the dad thing and trying to discover/rediscover hobbies, and find ways to fill my days beyond cleaning, shopping, and exercising. I am an avid reader and love books. I have been getting into/back into video games a little bit also. I have also been going on walks and trying to “touch grass” more, as they say. I’ve also been trying to connect/reconnect with people I know.

Which brings me here. I’d love to just find people to chat with. Women, men, whatever. But be warned - come with something to say and be able to say it! Not looking for “hey” messages with no follow up. Or those who want to chat for a day and then disappear. Let’s get to know each other, share interests, make the days exciting, and fulfill that dopamine hit with notifications!

I’m around and most available during the daytime, so someone who works from home or finds themselves needing/wanting company during the day would be ideal.

I’m ridiculously verbose (obviously) so if that’s not your thing, maybe move along.

Anyway, enough is enough, so I’ll stop for now but here’s to hoping some of you are out there and looking for similar things! Here’s to hoping I hear from you!
