Will I be able to avoid Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition related updates on console?

I have a modded game on Xbox, it runs great and I'm fairly attached to it. When Skyrim AE released it caused a couple of issues with my modded save that made it basically unplayable.

Will I be able to avoid anything like this happening again? If so how?

Probably a simple question but just wanted to check.
