Intending to start DIY soon, looking for advice (MTF)
It has been a year since i have realized i am trans, however during this period i have struggled with employment. As it stands i only have around £260 to my name. This is enough to buy HRT for one year and pay for a single blood test (where i am it costs roughly £100 to get a test in clinic for female hormones). I have constant dysphoria about my body hair and other features. I am quite certain i can keep myself together for a few more years however i will not be happy and feel the need to start transitioning sooner rather than later. In addition to the £260 i have a few pieces of hardware i can sell if push comes to shove and i am unable to obtain employment within a period of 5-6 months in order to pay for further blood tests or clothing.
My intended starting dose is 6mg subcutaneous *(Estradiol Enanthate (EEn) 400 mg/10 mL (40 mg/mL) in MCT Oil)*, the injected amount being 0.15ml for a dose of 6 mg (10/400*6, please inform me if my math is horribly wrong). I want to ensure i am at-least close to being able to suppress T as i cant afford much trial and error with only one blood test. I intend to inject weekly for about a month to wait for my levels to settle before getting a blood test at the aforementioned local clinic.
I would also like to mention that the supplier i am buying from recommends 7mg every 10 days rather than 5-6mg every 7 days, please can you inform me if this is a better regiment or if 6mg every 7 is more ideal.
Ive heard insulin syringes are the best for injecting with a 27 gauge needle being the most appropriate overall size, if anyone can confirm this or provide a reliable seller i would be very thankful. As for whether i should use a separate needle for drawing and injecting i am unsure.
I will also like to point out that i live with my parents, my mother is accepting and my father is tolerant, i would like to bind until i can pass fully or have a suitable wardrobe so advice in that regard would be much welcome.
Sorry if this is a lot for one post.
