What exactly is the point of this ability? *spoilers*

Ultima, what exactly is the point? I know hypothetically you can grind Ramza's MA stat up so astronomically high it could be useful possibly (I myself grinded it pretty high). But it seems more like a vanity spell. For Alma it makes sense, because she is not a damage dealer at all and has the highest MA stat multipliers in the game and it is her strongest damage dealing option, but whats the point of it for Ramza? If things used reflect more often, or if it was built into a mechanic needed to damage the final boss, i'd get it. But its almost a vanity spell but without the flashiness. Literal, i'm a black mage but I want something slightly stronger than tier 2 spells in the event I can't get off flare or a tier 3/tier 4 spell.
