[A4F] Making Fantasy a Reality (A Cosplay-Focused Prompt)
We all have fantasies.
That one character we fawn over.
The one we can't see enough fanart of.
The one that makes our heart skip whenever they have a cool scene.
They might not be real, but this is the next best thing.
✿ Cosplay ✿
I adore cosplay.
It's something I've dabbled in a little, but always been eager to explore more. With so many fandoms out there with incredible characters and stunning outfits, who wouldn't want to dress up as them?
And why stop there when you can take on their personality too? Capturing that character in a way that does them justice. Just enough for suspension of disbelief.
Today I'm looking for an RP involving two characters who embody that mindset. Characters who meet up at a convention or somewhere similar, in full cosplay, doing their best to stay in character.
Maybe they're internet friends meeting up for the first time in real life. Maybe they're complete strangers who happen to be wearing complimentary cosplays. Maybe they're just total strangers who happen to end up stuck together - locked in the convention hall after hours or even trapped in a broken down elevator.
Whatever the case, they simply can't resist one another. The passion they both show towards their craft combined with just how hot they look in their cosplay makes them irresistible, and before they know it they're completely in lust.
Maybe it's a one time thing - a quick fling during the convention only to never see each other again. Maybe a multi-day convention turns into an excuse to spend every moment together. Maybe things develop further, leading to future meetups and hookups. Maybe a relationship eventually blossoms from it all.
There's countless direction an RP like this could go in, but my focus right now is two cosplayers hitting it off and leading to wild, passionate fucking at an event or convention.
I'll list the fandoms I'm most interested in below, and I'm happy to discuss the characters and cosplays involved.
I'm happy to discuss kinks in detail in PMs too. Needless to say, the primary focus would be around cosplay and clothed sex, all of that good stuff~.

✿ F/F Writing Sample/Potential Starter ✿
(Note I'd still like to discuss things before jumping into an RP, so please don't respond to this starter in your first message)
Nina was buzzing with a nervous energy on the night before the convention. While she wasn't new to cosplaying, as evidenced by the modest following her online persona - ShiroCoco - had received, this would be the first time she was actually attending a convention in cosplay. In fact, it would be her first convention altogether. For as much as she'd always wanted to attend one, and for as passionate as she was about her cosplaying, life had seemed to conspire against her when it came to arranging an actual convention trip. Whether it was work, her studies, the weather, a family emergency, something always managed to step in when she was about to travel.
But not this time. The stars had finally aligned, and she'd made it to the hotel she'd be staying in, just a short walk from the convention itself.
The nerves she was experiencing made it hard to sleep, but that was fine by her. She still had a few tweaks she wanted to make to her costume anyway, and the finishing touches to apply to the impressive scythe she'd created out of EVA foam. It was really the only option, considering she'd never be allowed to lug around a metal scythe, if she could even carry the weight in the first place. The final few stitches and adjustments to Ruby Rose's were the easy part, thankfully. The weapon, however, she refused to rest until it was perfect. In truth, Nina almost enjoyed making and modelling the props more than the cosplay itself. She was certainly more confident in her prop-making abilities anyway, compared to stitching a sewing. Luckily she had friends who helped her get the costume just right, and other details like the stockings and boots weren't too hard to find online and make small tweaks too. She even had no problem cutting and dyeing her hair to match the character perfectly. But Crescent Rose, she made from scratch.
It had taken a long time. She didn't want to think about how many hours she'd put into cutting and building and painting, but now it was almost perfect. All things considered it would absolutely pass as the character's weapon, but it wasn't enough. She'd designed weapon that it could fold and unfold to mimic the transformation in the show, the only issue was the release mechanism she'd created wasn't quite working right to fully automate the transformation from gun to scythe. It was something she was determined to get to work before the convention, and though she ended up staying up way too late that night in her hotel room, she finally managed to pull it off and perfect the cosplay, in her eyes.
Come the morning, Nina almost overslept. It was lucky she'd set an abundance of alarms specifically to ensure that wouldn't happen, and after hastily scrabbling around in the morning to get ready, grab all her stuff and hurry to the convention, Nina had finally arrived. Her very first convention. It felt a bit surreal, having been cosplaying for so long yet never actually attending one. She was used to receiving comments on her posts online complimenting her work, but it was entirely different in real life. The praise she received as she wandered through the convention, freely allowing people to take photos of her while she posed in as Ruby-like a fashion as she could, was almost overwhelming.
Despite her online community she never really expected anybody to recognise her in real life, especially in cosplay, but how wrong she was. She'd only been there an hour before the first person recognised her with a shout of "Coco!" and a plea for photos. Naturally Nina was more than happy to oblige, and soon she'd met a number of her fans all around the convention, each eager for photos and a chat. It really was overwhelming, but she found it a little easier to handle by fully embodying Ruby's bubbly and carefree personality. She always loved how she felt like a different person in cosplay, and now acting like the character really drove that feeling home. It was hard to get nervous or embarrassed when everybody saw her as Ruby, not Nina or Coco.
Just as Nina was really getting into the character, the small crowd around her parted to make way for the best Weiss cosplay she'd ever seen. Nina was stunned. Everything about it was impeccable. From the outfit, to the accessories, to the makeup, and even the attitude! She even had the red scarf that Nina was regretting not bringing herself, given the early March chill and how little the short skirt of her cosplay did to keep her warm. She almost dropped character for a moment before hastily steeling herself. If ever there was a time to act like Ruby, this was it.
"Oh my gosh, Weiss!" Nina exclaimed, hastily folding up her sturdy foam weapon before bounding across to her teammate. The movement caused her skirt to flutter around her plush thighs, enough even to reveal the intentional tears at the tops of her stockings, and even a glimpse of thigh above that, while the red hair danced in front of her eyes - a dazzling silver with the help of coloured contacts.
"I never expected to see you here. And you found my scarf!" She already knew people were waiting for pictures of the two of them together, so without wasting any time Nina reached up and pulled the long end of the scarf around her own neck, before giving a little twirl to wrap it around her neck and pull her closer to Weiss. "Sorry, you don't mind, do you?" She asked in a quiet whisper, feeling like she had to apologize for being so bold even as she tilted her head to pose for the cameras pointed their way.
