Fights for camera or actual fights?

I haven’t been in many relationships that have consistent fights. I get that a lot of people see that as fighting to stay in the relationship and that it’s a part of being together, but I’ve always been the opposite. If I see that someone I’m interested in wants to keep starting stuff or the person I’m with is constantly picking fights, then I don’t try to go to the next level with them. Especially early on.

All that being said, some of the fights in this season feel forced or completely out of nowhere. I’m in the couple of episodes past the honeymoon and honestly some of their ability to create a fight out of nothing is impressive. I’ve noticed it with a few of the couples but Madison and Joe are especially good at this, even without the booze.

Do you think that’s real and this is how these people communicate regularly off camera and in other relationships? Is it amplified because of the quicker timeline? Do producers push them to get into it more?
