Last Minute Season Two Theories
So in light of the new shorts, it does make me consider some potentially last-minute theories.
- Katie Killjoy being Vox's puppet.
The latest shorts yesterday certainly seem to indicate how Katie Killjoy is going to be Vox's puppet in his "angle for this Hazbin Hotel." Considering the tagline of "Vox sure has a lot to say about this bitch, he is making a special exception to clown Miss Morningstar" in Killjoy's new interview with Charlie, and his conversation with her, potentially before that interview airs, it'll be quite clear Killjoy will be in support of Vox, will use the new interview to Vox's advantage (hence Charlie's reaction) and will be a key factor later in his smear blimp ("Charlie Morningstar: Dictator?"), but chances are, it could be his first step in his campaign against Heaven: Overriding Charlie's message while using the hotel, and the fact it's the site of a battle against angels, to start Vox's war. Heck, it's entirely possible that Nifty's fan club is put up to it by Vox.
True, he can always mess with Charlie, but it seems he won't do it so much (he'll easily be torturing Angel Dust at least), but I can see the likelihood of Charlie thwarting his war and saving Heaven, and Vox could hunker away in a different city (maybe Imp City) but will plan revenge on Charlie.
But overall, that interview, along with that press conference of Alastor holding back a potentially surprised Lucifer (it could be he had been surprised by the press conference, hence his bathrobe), it could also explain Charlie's hyperventilating in one of the new shorts, it could easily have been taken place after Charlie's scream in the trailer that Angel Dust mistakes for her being high ("I thought Charlie sed no more drugs"). It's not a high, it's a shock from the result of the interview, press conference, the whole smear.
- Hotel Departures
We have been hearing the possibilities of Alastor leaving the hotel: The fact that he can't host the hotel now that a redemption happened, given he became the host mainly to enjoy souls suffering at the hotel; his annoyance with Lucifer or that Lucifer is taking his shadow; the potential overreliance of VoxTech technology to advertise the hotel that Charlie could potentially screw up. But bear also Angel's absence.
Given what's transpiring in the Western, it looks less like a warped fantasy Vox would subject Angel to, and more likely it could be a commercial shoot gone wrong; bear in mind the last time Charlie tried to film something, she almost destroyed Valentino's set. It's completely possible Charlie would be using VoxTech crap to film a new commercial to advertise the hotel and it will have gone wrong, hence her later scrambles to fix things up in the disaster. And it could also lead to Angel's leaving the hotel, though it's entirely possible that Vox will capture Angel after he leaves and tortures and (potentially) brainwashes him.
- The Other Two Vees Turn Against Vox
Granted, there's going to be a few sub-categories in terms of theories in this subject, but what the heck. :)
Firstly, the "talk about recent public...displays" can mean Vox will want to have Valentino and Velvette look and behave nicely in their visit to the hotel. Valentino may easily not come owing to the last time he met Charlie and that he won't nice up. Velvette's "recent public displays" may pertain to a model she "almost...skin[ned]," though since she had no potential confrontation with Charlie and the hotel, it'd probably be why she comes with Vox to the Hotel.
Secondly, it pertains to the potential fight with Alastor. It may be that the Vees will be involved but will eventually turn on Vox. Considering the outfit Velvette wears when she asks "Who are we killing?" is the same as when she wields a bow in the teaser, and also when she uses a sigil spell, it's perfectly clear Vox will be telling her it's Alastor who they're going to kill, but she'll be directing her bow and sigil spell at Vox or Alastor in the battle.
Of course, it may be entirely possible the other two Vees have followed Vox to his battle, and Vox was snapping to getting at Alastor, hence Val's chide ("You can't get all up in this and then zip out like that"), and when they come along, Velvette's question is wondering who they're going after, though it's entirely possible when Vox reveals his intent to kill Alastor, Velvette will have enough; she may even try to stop the battle, hence her bow and sigil spell.
Val, however, it's easy to see he could take part against Alastor, considering the shot of Alastor's tendrils shooting at his direction and the shot in one of the new shorts of Val under Alastor's flung tendrils and aiming ("Daddy's home!")
More importantly, it may be clear that instead of at Charlie and the hotel, Vox's second line of the teaser ("You're either with me or against me") would definitely be directed at the other two Vees, and it'll be quite clear that their choices will be made in that battle against Alastor.
Other Obvious Theories:
We know about some other obvious theories, and how likely they are: Pentious proving to be a technological boon to Heaven and the likely possibility of Lute's becoming a fallen angel by her own right and her descent into insanity (hence "Gravity").
If there are other theories I missed, pardon, but the three above are the most prominent for me, especially if they're last-minute.
