Is it possible to use these as a standard drink bottle?

I just got my Cirkul because I liked the idea of being able to flavor my water and make it less, well, watery tasting…but I figured it could also be multi-purpose. I’ve been needing just a generic drink bottle for a while now. I don’t want one of those overpriced, trendy “Stanley” garbage, but something similar. So Cirkul it was.

I guess my question is…can I drink coffee or tea or any other drink out of my Cirkul without ruining the cartridge? Or is there an alternative lid that would fit the tumbler I could use for other drinks?
