Episode 2x09 Demelza 😍 SO MANY SPOILERS

I’m sorry but the amount of times I watched the scene where Ross walks into the bedroom and Demelza offers to “help him pack”. And then he goes “I realize I betrayed your trust” and she says “forfeit” AND THEN the entire speech about how “its not my pride that is wounded, it’s my pride in you”

CHILLS, literal CHILLS.

Obviously a show set in 2025 I’d be like Demelza literally leave him and slander his “good” name. And obviously I’m still on the “EW Ross is disgusting” train because I’m SO confused what he thought he was getting out of screwing Elizabeth considering she’s not a virgin so another body really doesn’t matter?? I translated it as the point of the entire situation is for him to basically have to sleep with her to realize he loves Demelza more BUT the show really should’ve been clearer about that.

Anyways, all this to say is my only wish is that they did more than just the cold shoulder treatment. I wish he really had to sit in the house ALONE without Jeremy or Demelza and make the decision to fight for her rather than go to Elizabeth.
