February Europe 7 to 9 day trip suggestions

Hi there, I'm planning a europe trip (5 people) for around february and trying to decide between italy, france, austria or hungary. I'll probable do 2 countries max. So had some questions:

1. Is feb a good time to visit any of these weather wise and other stuff?

2. Which combo makes more sense for around a week trip?

3. Any other advices or tips or maybe other places to visit in feb.
