Does what I tell a recruiter before meps leave a record?

This is a throwaway account

A year ago I talked to an air force recruiter and got to the SF-86 portion. I admitted to my drug history as I did not want to lie, but I did not recall how many times I have done it. I gave him a number just to be safe (something like less than 50 times) but I do not recall the exact number. I have to fill out a second SF-86 for the navy, if I say a different number will I get in trouble?
