Carts?

I have 2 dmt carts(one is slightly thicker and somewhat stronger), and they are definitely powerful but I haven’t broken through. I’ve been worried about burning the deemz, so I have been taking 5 sec hits at 2.5 volts. Am I not hitting it long enough or do I need to change the voltage?
