Why do Win10 users hate Win11 so much?
Can someone help me understand why Windows 11 is disliked so much by Windows 10 users? I use both Mac and PC and tinker with Linux distros so I know the importance of a clean well functioning OS. I’ve used NTlite on several versions of windows in past. A die hard win2000, xp and 7 user cause Win8 was true garbage. But Win11? Whats so bad about it? I install from Microsoft's own ISO so there is very little bloatware. Sure a few net apps are installed but not a too big of deal and there is a powershell command to automate all of its removal if you want. It was much worse in past versions. I use OOSU10 to quickly disable telemetry co-pilot. Use a local account and bypass tricks still work and avoid MS apps like Office, Edge and install open source apps like OnlyOffice, ProtonMail for mail calendar and contacts, Firefox and Joplin for notes. PowerToys brings many features Mac users enjoy like power rename, text extractor, command palette and peek. My custom PC hardly crashes, not more than my Mac Mini and my Windows is full of stuff from Adobe and Autodesk. I also delay feature updates in group policy for 1 year so no surprise updates that break my computer. I think one reason why I might like Win11 is because its become more like macOS and that's a fair complaint if you are not used to macOS. Now the day they force co-pilot on every user with zero option to remove/disable it, then I can see that being a reason. And if its speed, well macOS upgrades slow down macs also. By a lot. My specs are a 9950x and 4090RTX so maybe i dont see speed issues like some?
so does it really boil down to they don't have fast enough hardware to upgrade which is common with both win and mac or they hate the macOS similarities?
Since this is PCMR, ill share my new mechanical keyboard that I found much better in terms of build quality, customization and typing speed than my touch ID apple keyboard.
