Very long herx- is this normal?

My llmd put me in an intense protocol after testing positive for Lyme, Bartonella and babesiosis. I'm at the two week mark and I'm still herxing bad. I do have periods where I feel good and it comes and goes but it's very intense. I'm on multiple antibiotics, antiparasitics, and antimicrobials. Additionally I'm on herbs.

My doctor said this is to be expected but I have major trust issues with doctors.
