Abu Dhabi’s new hobbies: towing cars, blocking parking & camping in fast lane!

Been thinking of writing this since days!!! Abu Dhabi lately has been on another level of annoying …..

First one the Non-residents parking. I swear there’s like five of those spots in the whole city. You park for two minutes in residence , and suddenly the Emirates Auction guys appear out of nowhere like they’ve been hiding behind a bush waiting for you. It’s like they take it personally. I get it, rules are rules but the speed at which they tow feels like vengeance. Like pure vengeance!! Especially early mornings , man…..

Secondly People who park and just… live in their car. Why are you sitting in the non-residents parking spot for hours? AC on,swiping the phone, full-on chill session or just looking at all the fashion show happening . The pickup and truck guys are the worst they stay there till 1am like it’s their pitstop . Meanwhile, the rest of us are doing 27 laps around the block trying to find a place to park and go home.

Finally The fast lane crew. Every single person wants to be in the fast lane… but nobody actually moves. Slow lanes? Empty. Fast lane? Jammed with people flashing hazards like, “there’s someone in front of me bro.” Okay? Then move him! What’s this convoy of confusion? It’s not the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, it’s a daily commute.

Is it just me or are these three things slowly breaking everyone’s sanity?
