Best anime cons to go to in Texas that are upcoming soon ?

So I’ve been wanting to go to an anime convention for a while now , I’ve gone once to a local one where I live out here in central TX but 2 main things have stopped me from going to other cons.

First one is going to one 3 hours ways (which is fine) and then not have much to do because of the size of the con. Is there any big cons in Texas soon with lots of stuff to see and do for?

Secondly is going alone. I have almost no friends who watch anime so I’d mostly be walking around at the cons enjoying the panels solo lol . I’d love advice on how to make new friends at cons tho Thank you.
