Letting Budget Apps Connect to Your Bank

I have always done my own budgeting via spreadsheets. Mainly because I like handling the data start to finish, and I can manipulate the look how I want and what makes sense to me.

A friend told me about a budgeting app he uses but he had to link his bank accounts. The app got all of his info Debt, loans, Credit cards, amounts, everything. I feel like I wouldn’t like an app having all of that. I’m curious how others feel about having an app look over all of it.

What are some apps that do not do that?
