PSW -> SKW New Entrant. Still pending (applied Aug 2025)

Hi all,

I have been around this subreddit for information about SKW and visas in general. I applied for SKW on 15th Aug and my 8 week waiting elapsed on 10th Oct. I have tried to call UKVI for an update 2 Mondays in a row and got nothing tangible from them. In m last call to them on 20th Oct they mentioned that if I haven't gotten any communications, I can raise a complaint (which I promptly did on this link.) I even raised the issue with my MP on 13th and today got the following revert from HO (as shared by the MP's office):

'We understand that waiting for an outcome can be frustrating, and we apologise for any inconvenience this delay may be causing. We are currently managing a high volume of applications, however, please be assured that we are actively working to review each case as quickly and efficiently as possible.

A visa application may take longer to process, due to one or more of the following reasons:

· The information provided in your application requires further review or clarification. · Additional evidence is needed, such as proof of funds · Your supporting documents need to be verified *You may be required to attend an interview · Further details may be needed regarding your personal circumstances (e.g. if you have a criminal conviction) · We are currently managing a high volume of visa applications

Please assure Mr..... that he will be contacted as soon as a decision has been made on his case or if we require any additional information or clarification.’

Suffice to say, it doesn't say much. The wait has been quite nerve wrecking so if anyone from mid-August 2025 non-priority has had any luck with their app, do say so. Need some hope please! I am not sure what else I can do to find an answer. My PSW expires end of November.
