Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics; Is it worth switching pediatricians
We were recently recommended to see a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrican for our son. One major childrens developmental department has wait time of a year. We are finding the year to be the lead time on appointments if they are accepting new patients. NYP will not share their wait time on appointments unless you are being refered from an in network Pediatrician of their hospital group.
I'm wondering if its worth it to switch pediatricians if it means potentially being seen sooner. I am hesitant to pick up switch practices if industry wide in the nyc area this is the wait time we are potentially dealing with.
