gov shutdown stopping me from having prenatal care

Rant/Vent

long story short, i live in an all in one state (so visits are paid up front for the entire pregnancy!) and my all the local obgyns quoted me ~$4200 BEFORE my first visit to get in without insurance. i live in a state where all pregnant women can qualify for medicaid however. i'm already on medicaid but my specific plan isn't accepted anywhere but mental health services.

my pregnancy is high risk because of me having PCOS, low progesterone, and elevated PS/PT IgM (autoantibody that targets blood vessels). i work PRN so i dont qualify for insurance through my job either.

ive applied for the medicaid plan for pregnancy but its been 2 weeks and my status hasnt changed from "submitted", and I'm feeling as if it won't change until the government is reopened.

i'm almost 7 weeks now, and I'm getting very anxious because I really really want a healthy, viable pregnancy, but without adequate prenatal care im feeling at a loss. also, my local health department can't even get me in until im 15 weeks.

this is kind of just a vent post, but is anyone else going through something similar because of this?
