TBoI and religious themes

Heya! I'm currently starting to write my bachelor's thesis. It's about religious themes in games and how they influence the media industry. There isn't much I can base it off of so my promoter has said that I should look for opinions. For anyone who sees this, could I ask you a few questions about The Binding of Isaac?

1 Do you agree that religious themes or religious references were used in TBoI?

2 Which religious stories or themes does TBoI invoke in your opinion? (I need at least 1 example)

3 If you played the game, what made you buy/install it? Did the religious themes influence your decision?

4 If those themes were removed or replaced with something else, would you still buy/install TBoI?

5 If the religious themes were absent in the game, do you think it would be bought more/less or would it be received the same way?
