The 2025 mix of Three Cheers is phenomenal and has opened my eyes to what a solid album Three Cheers is.

I always liked the album, but mostly for the singles. Beyond spinning it obsessively as a kid around 12 or so, I could never bring myself to listen to it from top to bottom because I was always so turned off by how crammed the mix was. Getting back into the band over the last few years had me almost entirely ignoring the album because of how little headroom and dynamics there were in the mix. Now, however, I'm floored by how clear everything sounds and I never feel as straight up exhausted as I'd get when I was listening to Three Cheers. The album has re-entered my rotation and I'm back to being as obsessed as I was back in 2005/2006.

Sure, there are things about the OG mix that I miss, but generally everything has been such a massive improvement for me. I understand missing the visceral nature of the original mix, but this one will age tremendously more graceful.

Anyways, what's your thoughts on Three Cheers 2025?
