Any reason to feel extremely lonely, anxious, depressed after starting the therapy?

Support

I've been in therapy for the last 2 years now. and only in the last few months I've been actually feeling extremely lonely and depressed, I can barely sleep these days and practically have zero emotional contact with anyone other my therapist.

I've been lonely all my life. I'm almost 28 now, and never really had a friend circle which actually understood me. But I never really felt this much lonely (although I used to cry due to anxiety a lot). Does this mean therapy has opened some doors which I used to hide? and if so is it a good sign or bad one. Because how am I supposed to get rid of loneliness just through therapy?
