above is screenshots from the training. this company continuously demonized ABA companies and claimed that current ABA practices are abusive, harmful, not helpful. they claim that they focus on ABA Reform of which they described as the way ABA "should" be

I need to stress CURRENT as the big word here as this is not a critizism of how ABA USED To be, its a critisim of CURRENT ABA practices. They are saying the "traditonal" ABA, yk, the absuive beginnings, is still being used and only used by other companies but that they are the only "Reform"

the examples shown above simplify aba and i became very confused as my company, of which deals with a large range of behaviors and severeities is huge on client dignity and ethical treatment. we do utilize things like stickers and token boards but that is case by case. not every kiddo does well with the things listed in Pic 2 and so we find new ways that works for the kids.

this company my wife got hired for as well made it clear that there is absolutely no physical contact or body blocking permitted no matter the situation occurring and was told that gentle encouragement and priming is the furthest they can become involved

they have another day of training today and genuinely this company feels like a huge red flag for the way they go about things. my wife is starting at a level one, since thats the first level they start as, but the communication between the management put them at level 2 for half of the information. they've only been able to have communication with two people within the company, the CEO and her helper. along with this they are only being required to have 3 days of training and 3 shadow sessions. for BOTH of my companies I had to do the 40 hours, a week of more training, an in person all day training and then a shadow session before I was out on the field. what the fart?

are me and the wife crazy for feeling this is... sketch?
