The Steam Scream Fest is live! Let's share our favorite Halloween-coded games and spooky hidden gems.

The October Steam Scream Fest is officially here, bringing with it a tidal wave of horror, spooky, and just plain unsettling games to try before Halloween. With so many terrifying titles vying for your attention, it's easy to miss something great.

Let's share our finds, from the biggest upcoming horror releases to the scariest hidden gems. What games have you wishlisted?

  • This fest is packed with some major titles, including: Project Zomboid is an unforgiving hardcore survival RPG set in a zombie-apocalypsed Kentucky, where your ultimate goal is to see how long you can survive before you inevitably die.
  • Little Nightmares is on sale with a fantastic discount! You’ll need to do your best to escape in one piece or your fate will be worse than you ever dared dream.
  • Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader with a new update! It is a story-rich classical RPG from Owlcat Games, developers of the critically acclaimed game, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
  • Hollow Knight is there too! If you were wandering what was all that fuss and hype around Silksong - check this MASTERPIECE out!

A few others that caught my eye have been:

  • HOLES. Damn I hated those enemies in Elden Ring. The craling hand ones. Well, this is a whole game about them. Definitly caught my EYE.
  • Cheat Death at dice? Sure! A small demo, yet very promising ideas.
  • The Séance of Blake Manor looks intriguing. Lately picked up detective board games and than this fell into my lap.  It is a supernatural detective mystery, set in 1897 Ireland, where you investigate the disappearance of Evelyn Deane in a remote hotel full of secrets and other-worldly occurrences.
  • EDGE caught my eyes. Very Alan Wake-y as in: psychological horror with an emphasis on atmosphere and tension.

What about you? What are the can't-miss demos from this year's Scream Fest?
