My ex just started working with my mom… and I don’t know how to feel about it.

So, this is wild, and I still can’t believe it happened.

Back in school, I (let’s call me Arjun) dated this amazing girl (let’s call her Meera) for about three years. It was intense — typical teenage love — but when I left for college to pursue engineering, we drifted apart. Things ended messily, and we didn’t talk at all for about four years.

Fast forward to today: I just found out that Meera has joined my mom’s school as a dance teacher. Like… what are the odds? It’s a big school, but still, I never imagined our paths would cross again like this.

Here’s the twist my mom actually started talking to her and told me she really likes her as a person. She even mentioned that Meera and I were in the same class back in school. My mom thinks it’s such a nice coincidence and keeps saying, “You should talk to her sometime, she seems lovely.”
But… my mom has no idea that Meera and I actually dated back then.

Now I’m stuck in this strange situation my ex is working with my mom, my mom genuinely likes her, and I don’t know whether to reconnect or quietly stay out of it.
