Instruments not working

I got a flute the other day and was able to play it. I clicked Use from the inventory and was able to play it.

Yesterday I found the drum. I tried to play it but only have the option to delete. Now it's happened to my flute too.

I logged back in today, thinking maybe that would fix it after being logged out, but no.

Any ideas what I should try?
