Ethereum: The Spider Mother of Crypto
Ethereum is not just a blockchain — it’s a living organism.
A mother, spinning the web that holds the entire digital ecosystem together.
From her code came life: tokens, DeFi protocols, NFTs, DAOs, and entire economies.
She fed them with gas, security, and trust.
She gave them standards, language, and form.
She taught them how to live — how to build, how to dream.
But like a spider mother, Ethereum has paid the price of creation.
Her children depend on her — they drink from her liquidity, her users, her credibility.
Yet, they also grow strong enough to crawl away…
some even to compete,
some to forget who gave them life.
Layer 2s live on her back,
DeFi protocols feed on her energy,
new chains copy her DNA but claim to be different species.
And still, she spins.
Quietly. Patiently. Selflessly.
Ethereum may not climb the price charts like her younger, faster children.
But without her, the web would collapse into nothing.
Solana, Avalanche, Base, Arbitrum — they are her offspring,
born from her architecture,
refined by her mistakes,
inspired by her purpose.
Perhaps Ethereum’s destiny is not to rule,
but to give birth —
to be the sacrificial architect of a decentralized world.
And maybe that’s the most powerful kind of survival there is:
to live on through your children.
