EU & members do not protect strategic companies from foreign take-overs
We sold Arm & ABB Robotics to Japan, while China bought Kuba, a German robotics co for the car industry, while we let China buy Nexperia, who make chips to cars.
Despite semiconductors being a problem in 2019 for the big EU car industry, during covid, nobody including themselves, got the thought to secure key suppliers from foreign take over.
Eurocard? Sold to US Mastercard.
We also sold out to a lot of our key strategic business to US and others, esp China, so much that we are dependent intrenched US monopoly hyperscalers for cloud computing. If EU wants to develop tech suverignity, we have to plug the hole so no more strategic assets are sold to foreign non-friendly nations. China do not have free markets, as its all state directed. In US its the tech monopolies. Japan is little better, but also we should not trust anyone for key industries and infrastructure.
