Do any of you do real estate?
I’ve been in the field for 10 years now (Big Four, and now a small firm). A few of my friends are in real estate, and it seemed like an easy side gig. So I got licensed, and now I’m thinking of quitting my job. I’m almost ashamed to admit how easy the money is. The hardest part is getting clients—that’s where the risk lies. I made about $60K this past year, and I haven’t even tried that hard. I spent maybe 12–15 hours per month on it (including showings). I didn’t have to think or stress. I regret not starting this earlier and working my ass off with long days for little money (compared to commissions versus hours spent). Any of you had an epiphany like that? In what field?
