Drainage Hole in Decorative Pot- Does it matter?

I’ve just repotted my two phals into plastic slotted pots that I got off repotme.com. I plan to place those plastic slotted pots into decorative ceramic pots, but, realizing the ones I’d like to use have a dime-sized drainage hole in the bottom. I don’t know what I did with the plastic rubber plugs they game with. Does this matter?? Should I try to plug the drainage holes? TIA!!
