Made redundant over video call - legal in the UK

Hello!

I worked for a global startup. I live in the UK and have a remote work contract. The CEO got 24 people on a video call (they are all in different parts of the world - US, UK, Netherlands..) and said they are being let go. Immediately after call, my laptop was nuked. they didnt even let me save my personal files. Is this legal in the UK?
Any suggestions on employment lawyers I could speak to?
